Inspired by vintage Holophane streetlights used in Paris in the mid-century, our Parisian globe pendants offer enduring style and exceptional quality that have seen them make the top of our best-seller list time and time again.
Holophane or actually “Europhane” is the French street light manufacturer who originally supplied the design for lamp posts across France in the 1950’s – 70’s. Pure White Lines first started selling these vintage Parisian streetlights in 2014 after they were decommissioned in cities such as Lille, Lyon, Montpellier, Bezier, and of course Paris which they are synonymous with.
Sourcing them on one of our many French buying trips became a regular occurrence and we struggled to keep up with demand as our clients fell in love with the design!
Slowly as everything eventually does in reclamation and antiques, things began to dry up. Dealers were selling less and less while the prices were getting higher. This led to our first-generation reproduction being born!

Within a 3-year period we have perfected our range of reproduction Holophane style globes and have developed them at a much better price offering. Available with our classic brass fittings, we will also start to offer a bronze version later this year. The two size options make them ideal for various settings, both residential and commercial. They’re prefect grouped over bars or kitchen islands, or used alone in entrance halls, bedrooms or living rooms. We now also offer this pendant style as an IP44 fitting, making it suitable for bathrooms.
