An exceptional rare statement piece! This huge garden urn produced by renowned English Foundry the Andrew Handyside Company (Britannia Iron Works, Derby) c.1870 is an impressive  large scale statement piece.

Renowned English Foundry the Andrew Handyside Company was described as being “from the magnitude of its operations is second to none in England”. Andrew Handyside bought the Britannia Iron Works in 1848, and manufactured several ornamental vases in classical purity, form and ornament. Receiving distinctions at the Great Exhibition in 1851, “the quality of their casts were exceptional and became more exceptional with time”. They produced three catalogues, in 1848, 1874 and 1880.

With historical wear and repairs and remnants of the beautiful original paint. Truly a beautiful garden statement piece and longing for its new home.

Huge Rusted Factory Mirror – H305cm. This vintage factory floor standing window mirror is one of the tallest we’ve found. Its wonderfully rusted frame holds newly fitted mirrors where the original glass would have been. This is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

An outstanding pair of mid 18th century (c1750) urns that would have formed part of the garden design of a French chateau. Made of very thick cast iron, they feature ornate handles and beautiful Neoclassical female faces. The natural patina to both urns adds to the charm.

The perfect addition to a formal garden or entrance hall. Sold as a pair.
